Abstract: Based on ANSYS Workbench,this study conducts finite element analysis of the welding process for ship butt joints to investigate residual stress distributionand globaldeformation.Combined with simulation results, directions for welding process optimization are proposed.The welding process for ultra-thick high-strength crackarresting steel is explored,including weldability evaluation tests on the target material.The groove design,deposition sequence, and process parameters of the KX method welding process for thick plates are introduced.
