Layout and Selection Design of Mooring Equipment for Small Vessels Based on Operational Requirements

Abstract: Drawing on design experience from recent projects involving 150\~350 t class fast boats and official vessels,this study systematically investigates the layout and selection of mooring equipment (including mooring ropes,bollards,fairleads,hawse pipes,and mooring rollers)fromboth engineering and user-experience perspectives. It calculates,analyzes,and compares selection criteria betweenoldand new standards for bollrds,adressing key challenges in spatial arrangement and functional compatibility.The proposed methodology optimizes equipment configuration while ensuring operational ergonomics,providing actionable guidance for smallvessel mooring system design.
