Abstract：This paper focusesontheidentificationandtextual studyofthe Vajradhatu mandala，the AmoghapasaAvalokiteSvaramandala，theBodhisatvaCintamanicakraAvalokitesvaramandala，andtheVairocanawithEightBodhisatamandaladepictedinPhyiwang Cave79bycombining the informationcommunicated intheimages withrelevant texts.Acomparisonof theseartworks with mandalasof thesame typeand period discovered atDunhuangsuggests thatthere wereclose exchanges between Xizang（Tibet） and other locations from the end of the 10th century to the 12th century.
