AbstractObjectie：Toexploregripstrengthchangerjectoryofcommunitydelingelderlypeopleaditsrlatioshipithgie function.Methods：Basedonthegripstrengthandcognitivefunctiondataofcommunity-dwelingelderlypeoplefromtheChinaHealth and RetirementLongitudinal Study（CHARLS）in2O11，2013，and20l5，group-based rajectorymodelGBTM）wasusedtoestablishthe gripstrengthchangetrajectoryofcommunity-dwelingelderlypeople.Multiplelinearregressionwasusedtoanalyzetherelatioshp betweengripstrengthtrajectoryandcognitivefunctionResults：Atotalof1245communitydwelingelderlypeoplewereincluded. GBTManalysisresultssowed tatthere werefourgripstrengthtrajectoriesamongcommunity-dweling elderly people：extremelylow level group，lowlevelgroup，mediumlevelgroup，andhighlevelgroup.Multiplelinearregresionanalysisresultsshowedatafter adjustingforconfoundingfactorscomparedtotheextremelylowlevelgroup，tegripstrengthofelderlypeopleinthelowlevelgroup， mediumlevelgroupandighlevelgroupwerepositivelycorelatedwithteircognitivefunction;Theareaunderthereceiverpeating characteristic curve for predicting cognitive function using grip strength trajectory was 0.622（95%CI 0.587–0.657） .Conclusions：Thegrip strengthtrajectoryofcommunity-dwelingelderlypeoplecouldbedividedintofourcategories：extremelylowlevelgroup，lowlevel group，mediumlevelgroup，andhighlevel group，whichhavecertainpredictivevalueforthecognitivefunctionofcommunitydweling elderlypeople.Lowgripstrengthintheelderlyisariskfactorforcognitivedecline.herefore，arlyidenificationoftedevelopet trajectory of grip strength in the elderly isparticularly important.
