AbstractObjective：ToanalyetheesenceandinfluencingfactorsoffearofalinginteelderlyinChinafromtheperspectiveofte elderlythemselves.Methods：Objectivesamplingmethodwasadoptedtoconductsemistructured interviewswith15elderlypeoplefrom acommunityinXinxiangcity，Henanprovincefrom MarchtoApril2O23.Nvivo2Osoftwarewasusedtoorganizetheinterviewdata. Basedonthebasicstepsofgroundedteory，theinterviewdatawereanalyzedfromthebotomup.Results：Atotalofsixtemeswere extracted：indulioatiatgirosoalprsuceallifildl support.Andamechanism modelforfearoffallngintheelderlywas generatedonthisbasis.Conclusions：Themechanismoffear offalinginthderlyascomplexccordingtoeuimesioaldsoftederlyompreensieadmultiisciplal guidanceshouldbecariedout.Predictivepsychologicaliterventionsouldbeimplementedtopromotethepsychosocialadaptatioofthe elderly，to improve the qualityof life，and to reduce the fearof falling.
