Research on deformation control of large-curvature honeycomb sandwich composite parts

Abstract:During thecuring processofcomposite parts,due to factors such as the mismatch of the linear expansioncoefficientsoffibers,resinandmoldsandtheuneventemperaturefieldcausedbycuringheatrelease,residualstressisgenerated,which leads to springback deformation of partsaftercuring.The large-curvature honeycomb sandwich structure is widelyused inpositionssuchasaircraft skin andfairings.Due to its structural shape,this typeofstructureusuallhaslarge springback deformationdue toresidual tress duringcuring,resultinginproblemssuchas diffcultsubsequentassembly,assembly dimension diffrences,and gapdiferences.This paper conducts shape scanning ofsuch parts,combines withassemblyrelationshipcomparisontoanalyzedeformationdata,anddesignsand manufactures theformingmold withprofilecompensation.It greatly reduces thecuring deformationof honeycomb sandwich structure parts and improves the assemblyquality of parts.
