Topology optimization design and property simulation of frame forming tooling for autoclave process

Abstract:The frame forming tooling isakeytoolforautoclave processng of compositeskins and panelcomponents,the temperatureuniformity,framesupport structurestiffess,andopennessof theframeforming tooling haveasignificantimpactonthequalityofcomposite materials componentforming andthe effctiveutilizationofhotairflow.Withthegoalof improve theuniformityof tooling temperature,reduce weight,and maintainoverallstiffness,anew structureofframe forming tooling is generatedusing topologyoptimizationmethod.Basedonfiniteelementsimulation,thestructurestiffess is evaluatedand thesupport structuredesignisimproved.FurtherbasedonCFDsimulation,thethermalperformanceof conventional structureand topological structure iscompared and analyzed from two aspects,overalltemperatureuniformityand formingarea heatingeficiency.Comparedwiththeconventionaltoling,itisshownthattheweightof topologystructureis reduced by 35% ,the overall temperature uniformity of the tooling is improved by 18% during the heating process,and further increased withthedecrease of topology structure weight.Atthesame timeand position,the temperatureuniformity is improved more than 4 ∘C ,especially the forming tooling center area,which is greatlyaffected byfluidity,the temperature uniformityisimproved 14∘C .The weight reduction and openness of the topology structure have a significant impact on the performance,the validityof the topology optimization method in tooling design is verified.

1引言

框架式成型工艺装备是直升机复合材料构件热压罐成型的主要装备,相对于金属实体式等其他类型的成型工艺装备,其薄壳成型模板更容易保证工艺装备成型区域的温度均匀性,复合材料固化度一致性相关较好、有利于减小内应力的引入,常用于复合材料蒙皮、壁板等构件制造。(剩余5224字)
