The Value and Pathways of Integrating Chinese Clothing Culture into Ideological and Political Curriculum in Universities

Abstract:Chinese clothing culture contains the clothing regulations,dressing philosophy,and national character ofthe Chinese nation over 5 OOO years,making itan important part of ideological and political education in universities.In the current context of the Guochao trend,traditional clothing elements are deeply loved by young people,becoming an important medium for their personal expresion and identity recognition.Integrating Chinese clothing culture into ideological and political education inuniversitiescan not only enliven the clasroom and enhance students'cultural confidence but also provide cultural nourishment forthe adaptation of Marxism to the Chinese context and the needs of the times.However,in practice,chalenges persist:understanding of clothing culture remains superficial;the guiding power of clothing culture in ideological education is underutilized;and there isa disconnect exists between clothing culture and ideological and political curriculum.To address these issues,itisessential to leverage digital technology to build aresoure libraryof case studies,promote the symbiotic development of aesthetic education and ideological curriculum,adopt a collborative symbiosis approach to fostera new educational ecosystem,and achieve tangible results within the“Great Ideological Education”framework.
