Abstract:Glycolysis isoneofthe threemajorpathwaysofsugarmetabolismandakeylink incellularmetabolism.It plays acentralroleinenergyproductionand biosynthesis,andisalsocrucialfor maintainingcellularfunctions.Inthisprocess, thepyruvatekinase M2(PKM2)isozymeplaysapivotalroleasaregulatoryhubofthewarburg efect.Poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase 14(PARP14),as a multifunctional enzyme,is believed to affect the function of PKM2 through various mechanisms,thereby havingaprofound impacton glycolysisandthewarburg efect.This reviewdelves intothe multiple regulatory pathways of PARP14on the functionof PKM2,reveals the complex mechanisms ofPARP14 intheglycolytic process,provides a new perspective on the multifaceted roleof PARP14 in metabolic regulation,and on this basis , proposespotentialnewtherapeuticstrategiesforvarious tumordiseases,layingacertain foundationforfutureresearchand clinical applications.
