The role and mechanism of glycolysis and its products in coronary heart disease

Abstract:Coronaryatherosclerotic heart diseaseisa cardiovascular disease that seriouslythreatenshuman health.Its pathogenesis involves multiple pathological processessuchaslipid metabolismdisorder,chronic inflammatoryresponse, oxidativestress,vascularendothelial dysfunctionand immuneregulation imbalance.Research has foundthatabnormal myocardial energy metabolism,especiallythe dysregulation ofthe glycolytic pathway,plays akeyrole intheocurrence and development of coronary heart disease.Glycolytic metabolic products such as lactic acid,pyruvic acid,adenosine triphosphate(ATP)and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH) participate in the disease process byregulating anti-inflammatoryresponses,regulating lipid metabolism,maintaining vascularendothelialfunctionandinhibiting platelet agregation.These findings notonlyreveal theimportantroleof glycolysis inthepathogenesis ofcoronary heartdisease, but also providenew ideas forearly warningandtargetedtreatmentof the disease,making itahotresearcharea incurrent cardiovascularresearch.Thisarticlereviewsthemechanismoftheroleof glycolysisanditsmetabolicproducts in the occurrenceanddevelopmentofcoronaryheartdisease,andexplores itsclinical ransformationpotential,aiming toprovide theoreticalbasisandresearchdirectionsfortheoptimizationofcoronaryheartdiseasepreventionand treatmentstrategies.
