Post occupancy evaluation and satisfaction survey analysis of greenways in the ring park around Hefei City

AbstractThegreenway inthe ring park around Hefei City，Anhui Province，was takenas theresearch object. Based on the post occupancy evaluation （POE） system and combining multiple research methods such as questionnaire surveys，chi-square tests，and analysis of variance，a systematic analysisof the interview dataof users，managers，and designers inthe study area was conducted.Furthermore，abackground profileof theusers was depicted to reveal their usage habits.And comprehensively assessthe individual item satisfaction andoverall satisfaction level of users with various facilities in the park.The results showed that among the surveyed greenway users，males accounted for 56.7% ， slightly more than females.The majority were middle-agedand young people（aged18 to 59），and users with a secondary vocational school degree or above had a relatively high proportion.The respondents'main purpose of using thegreenway was for leisureand entertainment.There were more respondents who went there1to 3times a week， choose to walk，and spent lessthan 3O minutes geting to the greenway.The age and spend time oftherespondents all significantlyaffctedthefrequencyoftheiruseof greenways.Respondents were highlysatisfied with individualfeatures such as the convenience of transportation，green landscapes，the seting of mixed motorized and non-motorized greenways，andenvironmental hygiene.The average overallsatisfaction withthe greenways inthering park around city was 3.9.The trafic conditions，landscape designand environmental maintenance of the greenway in thering park around city need improvement. Suggestions have been put forward，such as appropriately widening the greenway， optimizing the traficroadflow lines，andadding some basic leisure，entertainment and sightseeing landscapes.This rticle provides a reference for improving the quality of urban life and the level of ecological environment.
