Research on the landscape characteristics of Fenghuang Ancient Village based on landscape geneinformationchain

AbstractBased on the theory of landscape gene information chain，this paper extracts landscape genes from Fenghuang Ancient Village in Jimo District， Qingdao City，Shandong Province，and constructs a landscape gene information chain.Theresults indicatedthatthe landscapegene recognition indicators ofthe villge were divided nto material culture （environmental factors，architectural features，and site layout）andnon-material culture （cultural customs）.Its two-dimensional layout was characterized bygablerofand courtyard style;The three-dimensional pattern presentsaformof“mountains surrounded by water，fieldsand villages interdependent"，and the streetsandalleys form a“fishone like”network;In termsofculturalconnotation，itintegrates fishingand farmingculture with traditional crafts such as wood carving，brick carving，and stone carving，forming acomplete cultural landscape system.The landscape gene information points remain well-preserved， with human-made landscapes demonstrating markedly superior integritycompared tonaturallandscapes;landscapegenecorridorsaregenerallywell-preserved，stillclearly reflecting historical spatial structuresandfunctionalorders;landscapegene networksexhibitstrongconnectivitythough certain areas show pronounced impacts from modern construction，resulting inspatial discontinuities.Insummary，this village sould further strengthen the protectionand revitalisation of its intangiblecultural genes whilecontinuously advancing therestorationand integrationofits tangiblelandscapegenes.Thiswillestablishavillagelandscape system thatcombines historicalcontinuitywith spatial integrity，therebyachieving theefective transmissionof traditional culture and the sustained optimisation of the landscape pattern.
