AbstractCastanopsis hystrix isone of the most important native broad-leaved tree species and wood species, whichhas highecologicalandeconomicvalue.Theresearch progress ofthetree speciesforestaffrestation,breedingof good varieties,managementand protection,seedling cultivation,diseaseandpestcontrol,resourceutilizationand soon werereviewed.Theconstructionofmixedforestisbeneficial toimprovethestabilityofstandandtheabilityof disease and pestprevention,andtherationaloptimizationof its densityand structure is beneficial to improvethequalityand yield of plantation.The main cultivation methods of the plant seedlings are strong seedling raising,cuting propagation andtissueculture,which is beneficial to the protectionandutilizationof germplasmresources,andreasonable fertilization is beneficial topromote the growthanddevelopmentofCastanopsis hystrixseedlings.The mechanismof the adaptiveevolution of the tree speciesare analyzed by modern biotechnology,which isof great importance to the selectionof excellent germplasmresources.Rational applicationof chemical agents isbenificial tocontrol Castanopsis hystrixdieasesandpests;Castanopsis hystrix issuitablefortheproductionof highqualitywood,andbuildingmixed forestisof great significance for increasing thediversityof speciesand maintaining the balanceof biomass.This paper provides references for further development and utilization of Castanopsis hystrix germplasm resources.
