AbstractAsan abiotic stress factor,UV-B radiation significantly impacts plant morphological development, physiological and biochemical processes, and molecular mechanisms. This paper reviewed the regulatory efects of UVBradiationonplant morphology(e.g.,inhibitionofstem elongation, reductioninleaf area, andalterationof rot-toshootratio),aswellas its direct or indirect damage tocell membrane stability, osmoticregulation substances (e.g, soluble sugars, proline),antioxidant defense systems (enzyme activities such as SOD,CAT,APX,and non-enzymatic antioxidants),andphotosyntheticsystems.Plantsenhancetheiradaptabilityto UV-B stress through molecular mechanisms such as synthesizing secondary metabolites like flavonoids and anthocyanins, activating the UVR8- mediated signaling pathway, andactivating hormoneregulationandsecondary metabolicgenes.Furthermore, combined stressfrom UV-B and other environmental factors (e.g.,tmperature,drought,heavy metals)often exhibits synergisticor antagonistic efects, with complex mechanisms varying across species.Current research primarily focuses on crops and herbaceous plants under controlled experimental conditions.Future studies should integrate multi-omics technologies andlong-term fieldobservations to deeplyunravelthe molecular networksand ecological adaptabilityof plants in response to UV-B radiation, providing insights for stress-resistantbreeding and ecological restoration.
