Effects of parental neglect onadolescents'career adaptability：the chain-mediatingrole of psychological capital and positive coping styles

【Abstract】 Objective To explore the mediating mechanism of psychological capital and positive coping styles betweenparental neglectand adolescentcareeradaptability.MethodsA total of 485adolescentswere surveyed using Parental Neglect Scale，Psychological Capital Scale，Positive Coping Styles Scale，and Career Adaptability Questionnaire.Results ① The results of correlation analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between parental neglect，psychological capital，positive coping stylesandcareeradaptability（ r= -0.45＼～0.60，P<0.01）. ② The mediation effect test showed that the direct effect of parental neglect on adolescent careeradaptability was significant，with the effect value of -0.33 ； psychological capital and positive coping styles playedaseparate mediating role inthe relationship between parental neglectand adolescent careeradaptability. Adolescent career adaptability，with mediation effect values of -0.25 and -0.04 respectively，and alsoa chain mediation effect with an effect value of -0.04 .Conclusion Parental neglect not only directly affects adolescent careeradaptability，butalso indirectly influencesadolescent careeradaptability through psychological capitaland positive coping styles.
