Comparison of different wolfberry strains in the Qaidam area based onfuzzycomprehensive evaluation

Abstract:【Objective】Enhance the comprehensiveevaluation system of wolfberry strains,ofering guidance for superiorcultivar selectioninthe QaidamareaofQinghai Province.【Method】Basedonthe observationof the nutritional growth,fruitqualityand yield,as wellasself-compatibilityrelated indicatorsofwolfberry,thisstudyemployed the entropyweightTOPSISmethod,greyrelationalanalysis method,and graycorrelationTOPSISmethod toevaluate14 wolfberry strains comprehensively.The aim was to screen out the suitable fuzzy evaluation methods and wolfberry strains withexcellentcomprehensive traits.【Result】The vegetative growth,fruitquality,yield andself-compatibility of eachwolfberrystrainsdifered.ZJ15-13,ZJ17-01andHT17-03hadstrongbranchingpower,robustgrowthpotential, resistance to pruning and shaping,and high tree plasticity. Pn of ZJ15-13 and ZJ17-O1 were higher than that of the other strains,SLWof ZJ17-01,HT17-06,andZJ16-16was higher,WUEofHT17-05and ZJ16-09 were higher,andrelative water content of leaves of all strainswere higher than 85% .Longitudinal diameter of single fruit of ZJ16-O8,ZJ18-03, ZJ16-16,and ZJ17-02 were longerthanthatof most strains,transverse diameterof single fruitof ZJ17-02 was wider significantlyfruit freshmassofZJ17-01,ZJ18-03,andZJ17-02werehigher,yieldofZJ18-07wassuperiortotheother strainsdistinctlyandthefruitnutrientcontentofZJ6-09wasricher,withlevelsexceedingthoseofmoststains.ZJ1- 13hadaself-pollination fruit set rate of 70% ,ageitonogamy indexof2.O3,indicating itasa self-compatible strain, with no significant morphological differences observed between the self-pollinated fruits and the open-pollinated fruits. The maximum difference in ci value of entropy weight TOPSIS method was 63.60% ,exhibiting the highest resolution among the thre fuzzy comprehensive evaluation methods,and the weight value distribution of each index in this method aligns with breeding purpose.【Conclusion】Entropy weight TOPSIS method is the most suitable among three fuzzy comprehensive evaluation methods.ZJ15-13 exhibits high self-compatibilityand outstanding comprehensive performance,possessing the potential for large-scale promotion in the Qaidam area.
