Abstract:[Objective]Thepaperaims toanalyze the keydiferences betwee theoldand new versions of GB1588,Medical glass thermometers,clarifypathways for environmental and technologicalupgrades,and providetheoreticalsupport for manufacturers to adaptto the requirements ofthe new standard and optimize testing proceses.[Methods]Using GB1588— 2001and GB 1588—2024 as research subjects,this studysystematically reviews the revisions through clause-by-clause comparison. Guided bythe Minamata Convention on Mercury and industry demands,it focuses on measures to improve environmentalcompliance,scope ofapplication,technical specifications,and testing methods.[Results]Thenewstandard eliminates mercury-relatedclauses,relaxes tolerancerangesforscaleline width,unifesindicationerrorlimits,quantifies centrifugal testonditions,introduesprecisiondetectiontols,smplifestestingtemperatureponts,andstrengthspriodic inspections.[Conclusion]This studyreveals the technical transitiondirectionfornon-mercurythermometersthroughstandard comparison, guiding enterprises in process optimization and standardized testing.Future research should deepen stability validationofeco-friendlymaterialsand promotedigital detectiontechnologies.
