Abstract:Inthisstudy,larvaeof Spodopterafrugiperda were infectedwiththe SfMNPV-YzlstrainofSpodoptera fru giperdanucleopolyhedrovirus.The dynamicchanges inthe activitiesof six keydetoxifying anddefensiveenzymes inthelarvae during the infection process were systematically determined,including phenol oxidase (PO), glutathione S-transferase (GST),carboxylesterase(CarE),catalase(CAT),peroxidase( PD ),and superoxide dismutase ( SOD ). The results showed that during the infectionperiod,theactivity of PO (204号 fluctuateddrastically,whichmightbeassociated with the virusregulating the melanization response in insects.Glutathione S-transferase ( GST )maintainedhighactivityconsistently,suggestingitsroleinalleviatingoxidativestress and metabolizing toxic substances.Inthe late stage ofinfection,theactivitiesofcatalase( CAT )andperoxidase (POD)increased significantly,indicatingtheir involve mentin scavenging excessve reactive oxygen species(ROS)to maintaincellular homeostasis.This study clarifies the multi-levelphysiologicalresponsesofSpodopterafrugiperdalarvaetobaculovirusinfectionfromtheperspectiveofenzyme activity,providingatheoretical basis for thebiological control of Spodoptera frugiperda.
