Abstract:Inorder tosolvetheproblemof workingfluidlossduring oiland gas drillngand production,asupramoleculargel plugging agent basedon hydrophobicasociation was prepared bymicellar copolymerization method,whichcan beused to plug fracturesand pores inthe formation during oilandgas driling and production.The plugingagent was formedbyfree radical polymerizationof acrylamide,octadecylmethacrylate,sodiumdodecyl sulfateandother monomers.According to the requirements of plugging materials during oiland gasdrilingand production,theforming time,rheology,swelling property, mechanical propertiesand plugging properties of supramolecular gels wereevaluated in laboratory.Theresults show thatthe formingtimeofsupramoleculargel pluggingagent iscontrollable,and ithasexcellent viscoelasticrecoveryabilitywithina certainrange of shear strainand scanning frequency.Thecompressivestress reaches 1.43 MPa when the compresion amount is close to 87% . Meanwhile,supramolecular gel shows good swelling performance,and its swelling process is non-fickian difusiontype.Besides water moleculardiffusion,theswellng processis greatlyaffected bygelnetworkand polymerchain relaxation,interaction between water moleculesand polymer network and polymer network groups,etc.Inadition,supramoleculargel presentsstrong formationbondingability,goodplugingperformance,andthepluggingrateisgreaterthan 95% .Itcan effectivelyreduce lost circulationand improve the plugging efect,and issuitableforlong-term plugging of heterogeneous and malignant lost circulation layers.
