Abstract:This paper proposes aleast-squares Gausian beam migration method based on the extraction of angle-domain commonimage gatherstoovercomethelimitations oftraditional seismic imaging techniques inexploring deepandcomplex hydrocarbonreservoirs.The method leverages theangle informationcarred bythe Gausian beam propagator to separate imaging contributionsatdiferentreflectionangles.Byintegrating iterativeleast-squaresoptimization,itachieveshighresolutionand amplitude-preserving imaging results.Inaddition,theconceptof principal-axiscontinuation is introduced to enhancetheamplitudeof shalowreflection eventsand compensate for missing signals inthe midleanddeep layers,furtherimproving overallamplitudefidelityinthestackedsetion.Modelexperimentsverifythefectivenessoftheproposedapproach,demonstrating its superiorabilitytodelineatecomplex geologicalstructures,suppressimaging noise,and enhance amplitudepreservation compared with conventional Gaussian beam migration.
