Abstract:Liverfibosisisakeypathologicaltageintheprogeionofchonicliverdiseasestoliverciosisandisaracterized byexcessiveextracellarmatrix(ECM)depositionAscriticalmdiatosofcell-CMcotalk,integinsplaynimpoantrolein the development and progression of liver fibrosis.The integrin family includes α and β subunits and is widely involved in the regulationofcelladesion,migration,andsignaltransduction.Intheprocessofliverfibrosis,theexpresionofintegrinsis upregulated,anditsinteracionithECMpromotestheactivationndproliferatinofhpaticstelltecells,furteraceleratgthe synthesisand depositionofECM.Theincreases intheexpressonofintegrinsαVβ3andαVβ6are closelyassociated with the activation of the TGF- β signaling pathway.In addition,integrins also modulate inflammatory responses and tissue regeneration and repairintheliver.Basedontheabove mechanisms,integrinshavebecomethepotentialtargetsforthetreatmentofliverfibrosis, and inhibitors targeting integrins may become a new strategy forthe treatment of liver fibrosis.
