Abstract In the face of the current situation of vigorous development of renewable energy，wind power generation，as the main force of renewable energy，has also had certain impacts onthe ecosystem and biodiversity while developing vigorously.Therefore，based onthe research and summary of the impactof wind power generationon biodiversity such as vegetation，insects，terestrial mammalsandbirds，countermeasures andsuggestions forreducing the impactof wind poweron biodiversityare respectivelyput forward from the three periods，namely theearlyperiodof wind farm construction，the construction period and theoperation period，with theaim of providing references for the site selection，scientificutilizationand management of wind farms Itis of great significancefor promoting the scientific development of wind power generation in Ningxia and even the whole country.
