Abstract [Objective]To screen the appropriate application rate of fertilizer for Carthamus tinctorius production in Liupan Mountain Area of Ningxia.[Method] "Yumin No.3"Carthamustinctorius was selected as the experimental material,a "3414"random block design wasadopted to conduct field experiments tostudytheeffctsofdiffrent fertilizer application rates ontheagronomic traits,leaf SPAD values,and yieldof Carthamus tinctorius plants.[Result] Diferent degrees of fertilizer application ratesand proportions promoted the plant height,stem thicknessand leaf
SPAD value of Carthamus tinctorius,and the efect was the best with appropriate application of nitrogenand phosphorus fertilizers.Applying potassium could significantly increase the yieldof Carthamus tinctorius.According to the ternary quadratic regression equation of Carthamus tinctorius yield,when N, P205 and K2O were 339.15,140.48 and 99.75kg⋅hm-2 respectively,the Carthamus tinctorius yield was the highest.The recommended fertilizer application rates for Carthamus tinctorius obtained by using the quadratic regression equation of one variable are l ∨166.3kg⋅hm-2 P2O5 120.8kg⋅hm-2 ,and K2O (20 54.8kg⋅hm-2 .[Conclusion] In the Liupan Mountain Area of Ningxia,appropriately controlling the applicationof nitrogenand phosphorus,increasing theapplication of potassium,and making a reasonable proportion ofthe three are of great significance for improving the total yieldof Carthamus tinctorius.
