Abstract From 2O19 to 2021，in places such as Lingwu，Qingtongxia，Pingluo，Yongning and Zhongning in Ningxia， the Screening of suitable mechanical grain harvesting varieties andthe production demonstration of mechanical grain harvesting technology were cariedout，andthequalitytestand evaluationof mechanical grain directharvesting were conducted. The results showed that among the 45 samples investigated and tested， 75.6% of the samples had a harvested grain breakage rate of ⩽5% as per the national standard，and 11.1% had a rate of ⩽3% . The sample rate of field impurities reaching the national standard of ⩽3% was 100% . The samples with a field loss rate meeting the national standard requirement of ⩽5% accounted for 93.3% . The average moisture content of the harvested grains from October 12th to 26th was 20.2% . There was a positive correlation between the moisture content of grains and the breakage rate and impurityrate.Maize varieties such as M753，Dika517，Dika159，and MC703 were screenedout that are suitable for mechanical grain harvesting in the region.
