Curriculum Ideological-Political Education in High School Chinese Through Foreign Literature: A Humanistic Literacy Approach

Abstract: Foreign literary texts in the high school Chinese curriculum are rich in resources for ideological-political education. To effectively utilize these resources,teachers must accurately identify and incorporate key integration points for mapping and integrating ideological-political elements,which can enhance instructional effectiveness and promote a deeper integration of ideological-political education with the teaching of knowledge and skills. This approach enables students to gain insight from foreign literary works while strengthening their humanistic literacyand ideological and political awareness,resulting in observable and assessable educational outcomes that resonate meaningfully with learners.
