Research on the Reproductive Rights of Single Women Under Human Assisted Reproductive Technology

Abstract： Against the backdrop of the rapid development of human assisted reproductive technology，single women ’s calls for legal and policy guarantees to ensure their equal exercise of reproductive rights are growing louder. However，the current laws in China neither explicitly grant single women the right to have children through human asssted reproductive technology nor lack supporting systems. In view of this，by sorting out the current situation of legislation and judiciary in China and drawing on international experience，this paperclarifies the legal conflictsandethicalchallenges involved inthe implementation of human asisted reproductive technology by single women，revealing the tension between the current legal provisions and the equality of reproductive rights. It further proposes gradual legal reforms to facilitate policy adjustments，aiming to gradually achieve the organic unity of the equality of reproductive rights and social governance.
