Tao Xingzhi’ s Spirit of Educators : Connotation, Formation Mechanism,andHistorical Lessons

Abstract: Tao Xingzhi's spirit of educators comprises three key dimensions: the ideal of saving the nation through education,compasson for the people,and the educational practice of unifying knowledge and action. The formation of this spirit is grounded in cultural immersion and social collaboration,propeled by educational practice, sustained by the awakening of individual ideals,and ultimately directed toward national rejuvenation through education. Drawing lessons from history,Tao’ s spirit provides a distinct path for the growth of contemporary educators by reshaping their cultural, practical,and ethical consciousness. In this way,it offers valuable historical insights for cultivating teachers in the new era.
