The Effect of Single/Dual Flow Turbocharger on Plateau Performance of Diesel Engines

Abstract:Inordertosolvetheproblemofinsuficientdieselenginepowerperformanceatplateauevironments,thispaperproposesasolutionfordieselengieequippedwithturbochargersandstudiestheimpactofsingle/dalchanelturbochargersondieselengine performace.Theresultsshowthatathesamealtitude,asthespeedofthedieselengine increases,thepowerand intakevolumeofthe dieselengineshowanupwardtrend,whilethetorqueandfuelinjectionvolumfirstincreaseandthendecrease,andthespecific fuel consumptiofrtdecreassadteninreassAttesedeselegesped,steltideinreass,thetoru,owerntaeoume,andfuelinjectionvolumeofthedieselengineshowadownwardtrend,whilethespecificfuelconsumptionshowsanupward trend.In plateau environments,instaling adual flow turbocharged diesel engine increases the intakevolume by about 5% compared to a single flow turbocharged diesel engine,and reduces specific fuel consumption by about 4% ,ensuring diesel power performance and fuelconomy.Theresearchresultsnotonlysolvetheindustryproblemof"ypoxiaandpowerloss"ofplateaudieselengine,butalsopro vide guarantee for the high efficiency and cleaning of plateau engine.
