Study on Baja Racing Car Design and Performance Based on the “Five Characteristics and One Standard ”Approach

Abstract：Under thepremiseofcomplying withtherulesof theChinaSocietyofAutomotiveEngineers（SAE）Bajacompetition， takestheZ10Bajaof-roadracingcarastheresearchsubjectandconductsasystematicoptimizationdesignbasedonthe"FiveCharactersticsndOneStandardappoach（hanlingelabilityaetyomfort，passabilityndligtweight）.edsignoptiatiis cariedoutthrough methodssuchasCAEsimulationanalysisandADAMSsuspensionsimulation，focusingonkeycomponentsuchas the chassis and suspension systems.The results show that the optimized car has a curb weight of 150kg ，an increase of 10% in chassis torsional stiffness，a 20% improvement in transmission efficiency，and a maximum speed of 70kmΩh . All performance indicators meet or exceedthedesignrequirementsandtheresearchresults providevaluablereferencesforthedesignanddevelopment ofsmilarracing cars.
