Abstract： Covering rice straw between rows in tea gardens isone of the long-termeco-friendlytea garden management methods in China.Itcan notonly efectively improve the ecological environment of tea gardens，but also significantly improve thequalityandyieldoftea，realize theresource utilizationofrice straw， increase the income of rice field and realizethe win-win situation of tea-rice.This paper summarized the main functions of covering rice straw between rows in teagardens，and the practical application methods ofcovering tea plantations with rice strawinTongluanalyzed the ecological and economic benefits of application， and put forward some development suggestions.
