Abstract: Camelia sinensis tissue culture technology plays a vital role in genetic improvement, germplasmresource conservation,and the sustainable developmentof the tea industry.This paper systematicallreviewed the research context in Camellia sinensis tisseculture over the past few decades,summarized its technical characteristics from different aspects such as organregeneration,cell suspensionculture,and protoplast fusion,and explored itsapplications inthefieldsofiotechnology,includingrapid invitropropagation,Inaddition,thetechnicaldiicultiesitea tissue culture research were systematically analyzed,and the future development directions were prospected.
