Abstract: This paper explores the determination of glass content in water-quenched slag based on UV-visible absorption spectroscopy, prepares glass and crystals from two types of water-quenched slag, granulated blast furnace slag and nickel-iron slag,and establishes standard working curves and model verification for the glass content and absorbance of the two types of water-quenched slag.The results show that in the UV-visible absorption spectrum of water-quenched slag,the wavelength corresponding to the absorption peak is related to its chemical composition,and the structure of the substance affects the strength of the absorption peak. Therefore,the UV-visible absorption spectroscopy can efectively distinguish the glassand crystal in waterquenched slag,and the glass content and the absorption rate are in a quadratic function relationship.The significant correlation range of the model is mainly distributed in the visible light ( (618-738nm) ) and nearinfraredlight regions (1196-1726nm ).The complex correlation coefficients of the established models are all greater than O.99,the relative error is less than 1% ,and the accuracy is not affected by the type of waterquenched slag.This method not only provides a rapid and accurate means of measuring glass content but also offers new technical support for the quality assessment and resource utilization of water-quenched slag.
