Abstract: With the widespread aplication of smart electronic devices,the isue of hardware circuit cloning design has become increasingly prominent,and efective security solutions are urgently needed.This paper proposes a path selector M-RO PUF (MM-ROPUF)design based on MUXunits to reduce hardware overhead and enhance atack resistance.After implementing this designontwoXilinxFPGAdevelopmentboards,amelythe Spartan-7and Zynq,experimentalresultsdemonstratethatthe uniformity performance indicators of the MM-RO PUF on these two Xilinx FPGA development boards are 51.03% and 48.79% (20 respectivelybothofwhichareclosetotheidealvalue,andtheMM-ROUFsuccessfullpassestheNISTtests inrandomess testing.Thisdesignnotonlyeffectivelyreduces hardwareresourceconsumption but also demonstrates its potential asachip encryption technology,providing a new solution for the security of integrated circuits.
