Abstract:Using literature review and logical analysis methods, this study focuses on policy documents and strategies for promoting elderly sports health published by the Japanese government, examining the development process, experiences, and implications of Japan‘s elderly sports health promotion strategy. Research suggests that the strategy has gone through three stages: the budding period of policy awakening (1963-1978), the initial development phase with gradually improving policies (1978-200O),and the rapid growth period of policy continuation (2OOO - present). The key experience include: phased planning and strategic coordination in policy evolution, organic integration of sports with other health promotion strategies, establishing a social - centered elderly health service system, and leveraging technological innovation to support elderly health promotion strategies. Based on these findings, China can draw the following conclusions : construct a policy framework for elderly sports health promotion, focus on sports interventions and explore diverse and integrated health promotion pathways , rebuild social support networks and expand pathways for elderly sports participation, and advance a technology empowerment strategy centered on “talent, technology, standards and education".
