Abstract:ThegeomorhicandgologicalconditionsinteupperreachesofteYelowRiverareharacteriedbycomplexityandfragilty Disasterssuchbsudifalletsrefrtlyddittoc VillgedebrisflowofGideCountylocatedontheupperreachesofteYelowRiver,wasseletedastheprimaryresearchfocusinthis study.Basedoooflevatdataieldivstigatiosndmoessingtepretatondplogicaldcal staisticalodels,nludingte,low-,ndO-odels,oectiobetwnladslidesanddebrisfowwastablis, withparticularempasisplacedonteoleofinaliducedlanslidesastematerialsoucefdebrisflows.Acouplednumercalodel describngthedamicevolutioofaifallnduedladslidesndebrisflowsadeveloped,ndthdaiciskofrlianGulldebs flow,uderaarifallsearoaatiaieledoupdodltolcoatedeiueneftcgo conditionsoftedisasterevirometonthdebrisfowsoucebutalsoaountedforthedamicmaterialsourceprovidedbyal-in duced landslides.
