AbstractHeavy metal pollution is one of the most serious environmental problems worldwide, which significantly affects microbial community distribution and ecological function. The interspecific interactions of microorganisms play the pivotal role in maintaining the ecological functions.Molecular ecological network analysis(MENs),developed in recent years, provides an available approach to detect the interaction among different species. Many researchers explored the impact of heavy metals on microbial interspecific interactions based on MENs,to elucidate the adaptation mechanism of microorganisms to heavy metals. This paper firstly introduced the construction method of MEN,stated the function of MENs in revealing microbial community stability, interspecific interactions and keystone taxa, summarized the recent advances about the effect of heavy metal pollution on soil MEN characteristics, and looked forward the future research directions,in order to provide references for future study of soil microbial community ecology under environmental stresses.
