Cloning and Bioinformatics Analysis of ZmRUM1 Gene in Maize

AbstractTo investigate the function and molecular mechanism of the AUX/IAA family gene ZmRUM1, it was cloned from maize inbred line CML288 and analyzed by bioinformatic methods in this study.The results showed that the CDS sequence of ZmRUMl gene was 810bp ,encoding 269 amino acids. The molecular formula of ZmRUM1 protein was C1241H1980N348O393S11 , the molecular weight was , the theoretical isoelectric point (pI)was 8.56,the instability factor was 52.41 indicating it was an unstable protein.It had the fat solubility index as 69.11,contained a structural domain unique to the AUX/IAA family,located in the nucleus,contained no transmembrane structural domain or signal peptide,and was a hydrophilic protein with the hydrophilicity coefficient as -0.399 . It was the closest relative to Sorghum bicolor and Miscanthus lutarioriparius.These results could provide the theoretical basis for in-depth study of the biological functions of ZmRUM1 gene.
