Analysis of the Employment Effect of Enterprise Digital Transformation: A Study on the Differentiation of Employment Structure from the Perspective of Regional Industrial Interaction

Abstract:The digital transformation of enterprises has not only enhanced technological innovation capabilities,but has also increasingly become a key force to promote employment growth and structural upgrading.Based on the data of A-share listed companies from 2Oo7 to 2022,this paper empirically analyzes the impact of digital transformation on corporate employment,and explores its heterogeneous effects in different regional and industrial contexts. The results show that,in general,digital transformation has significantly promoted the expansion of enterprise employment scale and the optimization of employment structure,especially the ability to absorb high-skiled labor.From a regional perspective, the eastern region is affected by the effect of technology substitution,and the role of employment expansion is relatively weak. In the western region,driven by policy support and improved digital infrastructure,the momentum of employment growth is stronger. From the perspective of industry, capital-intensive industries have a high degree of automation and have a certain employment crowding out effect,while technology-intensive industries are more able to release digital dividends and significantly optimize the employment structure. The conclusions of this study provide empirical support and policy reference for promoting high-quality employment in the context of digital economy.
