Research on the Evolution and Influencing Factors of the Green Technology Patent Cooperation Network in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Urban Agglomeration

Abstract:Against the dual backgrounds of the Beijing- Tianjin - Hebei coordinated development national strategy and the“dual carbon” goals, green technology patent cooperation has emerged as a crucial pathway for promoting regional green technology innovation and development.By constructing the green technology patent cooperation network of the Beijing- Tianjin一 Hebei urban agglomeration from 2015 to 2O22,this study finds that the network has become increasingly dense and complex, forming a spatial pattern characterized by“three cores,two axes,and multiple nodes". Empirical research reveals that while the positive impact of geographical proximity on green technology patent cooperation has gradually weakened, greater institutional proximity between cities and larger differences in their degrees of openness to the outside world are conducive to promoting such cooperation. Conversely,larger disparities in scientific and technological expenditure and human capital between cities tend to inhibit the connections within the green technology patent cooperation network. Based on these findings,core cities should leverage their leading roles to drive regional collaboration. The Beijing一 Tianjin—Hebei urban agglomeration should strengthen institutional proximity, promote opening一up, and narrow the gaps in capital and human resource investments,thereby providing eficient empowerment for green technological cooperation across the agglomeration.
