Research on the Impact of the Breadth and Depth of Collaborative R&D on Enterprise Patent Output： Taking“Specialized，Refined，Differential，and Innovation” Listed Companies as an Example

Abstract：The implementation of different cooperative R&D strategies by SRDI enterprises has a diferential impact on their patent output. Combining knowledge spillver theory and absorptive capacity theory，this study takes China's SRDI listed companies as research objects. By analyzing the patent data of 598 SRDI listed companies from 20l2 to 2022，this study explores the role of the breadth and depth of cooperative research and development in the patent output of SRDI listed companies，and further reveals the mediating role of technological diversification. Empirical analysis has found that the breadth and depth of collaborative research and development have a promoting effect on the quantity and quality of patent output of SRDI listed companies. The mediation effect test found that the participation of enterprises in cooperative research and development has a significant promoting effect on their technological diversification ability. At the same time，enterprises can enhance their sensitivity to environmental changes and independent innovation ability by improving their technological diversification ability， thereby promoting their patent output. This study offers empirical guidance for SRDI enterprises to optimize collaborative R&D strategies and enhance patent competitiveness， holding significant practical value for promoting high-quality innovation.
