Abstract:ToovercomethelimitationoffixedRadioDutyCycle(RDC)withintheContikiMACprotocolattheMediumAces Control(MAC)layerofwirelesssensornetworkswhichlacksadaptabilitytodynamicfluctuationsinnetworkload,thispaper introducesanadaptivelow-powerenhancementalgorithmbasedontheContikiMACProtocol:theAdaptiveDynamicContikiMAC Protocol.ThisproposedalgorithmdynamicallyoptimizestheRDCbyintegratingthreekeyparameters:nodenetworktraficload, real-timenodeenergylevels,anddeviationfromaveragenodepower.Simulationresultsdemonstratethatundermulti-hopcomplex medium-to-high trafic scenarios,the proposed protocol achieves a 5% reduction in average network duty cycle,an approximate 1% (204 improvement in average packet delivery ratio,and a 15% decrease in end-to-end delay. Collctively,these enhancements contribute to overall improved network performance.
