Abstract:A novel torque control strategy was proposed for the power converter of a FESS based on a switch table three-vector model. A triple-loop control structure was employed, consisting of a power outer loop,speed inner loop,and torque inner loop,to achieve precise and efficient power regulation.By le veraging the three-vector model,the approach reduces the computational complexity of the control algorithm,minimizing the number of iterations and lowering the risk of controller instability.The efectiveness of the proposed strategy was validated through StarSim hardware-in-the-loop experiments,demonstrating its superior steady-state performance and robustness. The results show that the proposed method improves system efficiency and ensures reliable operation under diffrent conditions,addressing key challenges in flywheel energy storage control and offring a practical solution for beter energy management. Minimizing the computational load alows the system to operate more eficiently,especially when quick adjustments are required to maintain stability. This research highlights the importance of innovative control strategies in boosting the performance and reliability of FESS.
