Abstract: [Purposes] To address the issues of high energy consumption and low operational eficiency in wastewater treatment plants,this study designed an energy consumption optimization control system based on load forecasting,aiming to reduce operational energy consumption and improve treatment efficiency.[Methods] A system architecture consisting of three core modules,load prediction, energy consumption analysis,and intelligent control, was constructed.The Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithm was employed for 24-hour rolling prediction of influent load; a multivariate nonlinear regression model was applied to establish an energy consumption evaluation system; and Model Predictive Control (MPC) strategy was implemented for dynamic optimization of process parameters.[Findings] Through comparative experiments at a wastewater treatment plant with a daily treatment capacity of 5O OOO cubic meters,the system demonstrated a 2 8 . 9 % reduction in unit wastewater treatment power consumption and a 3 3 . 6 % decrease in unit COD removal power consumption compared to traditional control methods.The dissolved oxygen control precision improved by 6 4 . 3 % ,and the effluent quality compliance rate increased by 2.7 percentage points.[Conclusions] The system achieves precise and intelligent operation of the wastewater treatment process through deep integration of load prediction and intelligent control, providing effective technical support for industry energy conservation and emission reduction.
