Breeding Report on the New Functional Purple Grain Spring Wheat VarietyLongchun46

Abstract:Functional wheat varities can regulate beneficial metabolism and fillthe needsof specific population.A new purplegrainwheatvarietyLongchun46wasbred tofillthevacancyofwheatvarietiesforspecialpurposessuchasnutritionand functionalityinHexiiigationregion.Troughartifcialselectionindiferentecologicalplaces,thisvarietywasselectedfromthe crossof4Emsgenicsterilelightbluegrainmaintainerline3046B-asfemaleparentandLongchun432asmaleparent.In22,it participatedinthespring wheatregional experimentinthe westareaofGansuProvince,withanaverageyieldof7424.1kg/ha,an increase of 4.17% overthecontrol variety Ningchun 4.In 2O23,it participated in thespring wheat productionexperiment inthe west area of Gansu Province,withan average yieldof 7 66o.96kg/ha,anincrease of 1.97% over the control variety Ningchun 4.Longchun 46exhibitscharacteristicssuchascompactplanttype,moderate height,longawn,whitehusk,andhomnygrains.Thenumberof granis perspikeis42and10-grain weightis43.9g.Itshowesmoderatelysusceptibletopowderymildewandrust,anditsquity reached medium-strong gluten. The grain contains crude protein of 146.7g/kg, wet gluten of 325.0 g/kg,bulk density of 810g/L dough water absorption of 615 mL/kg,dough stability time 1.0min ,andweakening degree of 2O9F.U,andisrichinvarious vitamins,traceelements,andaminoacids.Itissuitableforplanting inHexiareaofGansuProvinceandsimilarecologicalareas.
