Effects of Shallow Buried Drip Irrigation on the Growth, Development and Yields of Spring Maize in the Hexi Irrigation Areas

Abstract:To explores theimpactof shallow burieddripiigationonthegrowthanddevelopmentof spring maizeand its yields,aimingtoenhancethequalityandoutputofmaizeintheHexiiigationareasandimprovetheefientutliationofwater resources,2treaments,allwbuiddripigationndmulchedfloodgationwereivestigatedforthirctsonterowth period,planthight,steiametedryaterlatioieldndooicbeitsofteizeetyJining7sults showedtatcomparedwithmulchedfloodiigation,shallowburieddripiigationdelayedemergenceby3daysandextendedthe growth period by 5 days.It increased dry matter accumulation by 3.97% ,decreased plant height by 5.28% and increased stem diameter by 5.36% ,indicating that shallow buried drip irigationcan enhance the lodging resistance of maize.Moreover,shallw buried drip irrigation increased maize yield by 9.25% ,100-grain weight by 2.3g ,andnetprofitby3 54O Yuan/ha.These findings sugesthatinpractical production,shallowburieddripirigationhas highereconomicbenefitsandmoresignificantwatersaving effects compared to mulched flood irrigation.
