AbstractObjective：Tosystematicallvaluate theimpactofpreoperativefrailtyonhealthoutcomesinpatientswithesophagealcancer. Methods：Literatureontheinfluenceofpreoperativefrailtyonhealthoutcomes inpatientswithesophagealcancerwereretrieved from ChinaBiologyMedicineDatabase，CNKI，Wanfang Database，VIPDatabase，PubMed，WebofSience，CochraneLibrary，EMbase，ad CINAHL.TheretrievaltimespanedfromdatabaseestablishmenttoMarch24，2O24.Literaturewasindependentlyscreened.Datawere extracted，nduyalaedesedsiondusiatatisialaissfdsin RevMan5.3andStata17.Osoftware.Results：Atotalof12cohortstudieswereincluded.Metaanalysisresultsshowedthatpreoperative frailty increased the risk of mortality（HR ⟹1.79 ， 95% CI 1.51-2.13， P<0.000 01 ），complications （HR ：=1.32 ， 95% CI 1.16-1.49， P< 0.000 1），and readmission（HR=1.24， 95% CI 1.18-1.31， P<0.000 01 ） in esophageal cancer patients.Conclusions：Current evidence suggested thatpreoperatiefrailtyinpatientsithsohagealcancerasasociatedwithincreasediskofadverseealthoutcomesGreaterpsis shouldbeplacedonpreoerativefrailtyassessment.Thtargetediterventiossouldedevelop.Teaimastduceteourand progression of frailty，and to thereby lower the risk of postoperative adverse health outcomes.
