AbstractObjective：TotranslatetheFearandAvoidanceofMemoryLossScale（FAM）intoChineseandtestitsreliabilityandvalidity amongcommunity-dwelingelderlypeople.Methods：Afterobtainingtheauthorizationfromtheoriginalauthor，theChineseversionof FAMwasdevelopedthroughtheBrslindoubletransltion-backtranslationmodel，ross-culturaladaptationandpre-surveyAtotalof 310elderlypeoplefrom2communitiesinXianyancityweresurveyedtotesthereliabiltndvalidityoftheChineseversionofFAM. Results：TheChineseversionofFAMextracted2commonfactors，namelyfearandavoidance，withacumulativevariancecontribution rateof 69.075% .The Cronbach'sαcoeficientofthe total scalewas O.934.AndtheCronbach'sαcoefcientsofthefearand avoidance dimensionswereO939nd.915respectively.Thesplit-halfreliabilityoftesalewasO852.Thetestretestreliabiltoftesalewas 0.971 P<0.01 ）.Conclusions：The Chinese versionofFAM has good reliabilityand validity.And itcan beused asan efective tool for assessing the current situation of fear and avoidance of memory loss among the elderly in China.
