Abstract：Three sowing date（4-23，P1;4-28，P2 and5-3，P3）andtwoseedlingraising bed methods （stereoscopic sedlingraisingbedandconventionalsedlingraisingbed）weredesignedtoinvestigateefectsofseedlingraisingbed methodscombinedwith sowing dateonseedlingqualityunderdarkroomsproutpatern.Theresultsindicatedthatdelaying sowingdategenerallydecreasedparametersinsedlingquality，timeto3.5leafage，waterrequirementand watersupply intervaltime，increasedevaporationproportioninbothsedlingraisingbedmethods.ForsowingdatetreatmentwithP1， sheathoffirstleaf intreatmentwithconventionalseedlingraisingbedwassignificantlylongerthanintreatmentwith stereoscopicsedingraisingbedduring2.5leafage.Plantheightwasnosignificantdiferenceinbothseedlingraising bed methods.Butforsowing datetreatmentswithPlandP2，sheathoffistleaf wasnosignificant diference betweentwo seedingraisingbedmethods.Plantheightinconventionalseedlingraisingbedwassignificantlyhigherthaninstereoscopic seedlingraising bed.Abovegrounddryweightper100-plant，rootdryweightper100-plant，plantdryweightper 100-plantinconventionalseedlingraisingbedweresignificantlyhigherthaninstereoscopicseedlingraisingbedregardles ofwhethersowingdatewasearlyorlate.During3.5leafage，plantheight，thirdleaflength，abovegrounddryweightper 100-plantandplantdryweightper1Oo-plantinconventionalsedlingraisingbedwassignificantlyhigherthanin stereoscopicsedlingraising bed.Whensowing date treatmentwere P1 andP2，rotdryweightper100-plantand seedlingqualityindexinconventionalseedlingraising bedweresignificantlyhigherthan instereoscopicseedlingraising bed.Nevertheless，rootdryweightper10O-plantandseedingqualityindexwerenosignificantdiferencesbetween seedling raising bed methods under sowing date treatment with P3.
