Research Progress of Pigmented Rice and Breeding Practice in China： Current Situation， Challenges and Prospects

Abstract： The germplasmresources of pigmented rice arediverse.Among them，redrice and purple/black ricehave atracted much atentionbecausetheyarerichinvariousactivecomponentseneficialtohumanhealth.However，comparedwithcommonrice，the breedingofpigmentedicerietiesistillelatielylgingiddfurterimprovntissilleedinesfc traitsandeatingquality.This paperreviews the currntresearch progressofpigmentedricefrom aspectssuch asthenutritional qualityof pigmentedric，thegeneticdiversityof germplasmresources，andthedentificationofpigmentsubstanceaccumulationin grains.Itintroduces theinnovationofgermplasmresoucesandthebreedingofnewvarietiesofpigmentedriceinChinaandputs forward the opportunities and challenges faced by pigmented rice breeding in China.
