Abstract:Xyloglucan endotransglycosylases/hydrolases (XTH) are a class of enzymes involved in the construction and remodeling of cellulose/xyloglucan crossinks and play an important role in regulating plant cell wall extensibility. However, these enzymes have not been reported in Cannabis sativa. In order to systematically identify the XTH gene family members of the C .sativa,10 XTH genes(CsXTH)in C .sativa were identified by bioinformatics methods, named CsXTH1 to CsXTH10,respectively.Their physical-chemical properties, phylogenetic evolution and expresson patterns at diffrent growth stages were analyzed. The results showed that the relative molecular weights of XTH family members ranged from 31.14 to 63.64kD . Subcellular localization prediction results showed that all XTH proteins were located on the cell wall, with CsXTH3 and CsXTH8 could also be located in the cytoplasm, which were all hydrophilic proteins. There are many cis -acting regulatory elements related to light response, hormone response and stress response in the promoter region of CsXTH,suggesting that CsXTH may be involved in plant growth and development, stress defense and other biological processs. The expression of CsXTH genes was specific in diferent growth stages. The expression levels of CsXTH3 and CsXTH5 were the highest in the seeding stage, and CsXTH7 was the highest in the pro cess maturity. The above analysis provided a useful reference for the further validation of CsXTH family genes in thedevelopment of fiberin C sativa.
